Oliver is Counsel at KNOETZL. His principal focus is on litigation of significant international and Austrian corporate, investment, fraud and other white collar crime, and professional liability disputes. Thanks to his multi-cultural background he developed an enthusiasm for international dispute resolution. Throughout his career, he has represented financial institutions and corporations in multiple high-profile criminal proceedings, advised on matters of white collar crime and counseled on issues of human rights. He is also experienced through numerous international commercial arbitral proceedings before most major arbitral institutions, arising particularly out of post-M&A, construction, corporate governance and investment disputes. He has extensive experience in managing large volume, complex cases and has also gained valuable insight and analytical advantage through advising Austrian and international corporations on M&A-activities.
Prior to joining KNOETZL, Oliver practiced at large, top-tier law firms in Vienna and Budapest, as well as at the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC). Oliver also manages KNOETZL’s pro bono cases and takes an active role in the training of junior lawyers.
Oliver is a member of numerous arbitration associations and regular contributor to the Slovak Arbitration Blog (SlovArBlog). He is routinely called upon to conduct lectures at national and international conferences on dispute resolution-related issues.
