Sofiya Svinkovskaya is an Associate at KNOETZL specializing in international arbitration. Before joining KNOETZL in 2016, she worked for a large, multinational firm covering the CEE and SEE as a member of the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Sofiya teaches a mediation and negotiation class at the University of Vienna.
Sofiya holds a law degree from the University of Vienna with a specialization in arbitration, mediation and alternative dispute resolution, international private law and international law. During her studies, Sofiya participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the IBA-VIAC CDRC Negotiation and Mediation competition.
Sofiya is a member of the Young ICCA (International Council for Commercial Arbitration), Young Arbitrators Forum of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC YAAF), Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG), Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners (YAAP), Moot Alumni Association (MAA) and European Law Students Organization (ELSA).
