The dedication and passion of the international arbitration community were once again on full display during the celebrations of Vienna International Arbitral Centre of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (VIAC) at 50, marking five decades of success and reaffirming Austria’s role as a key hub for dispute resolution in the SEE and CEE regions.

The anniversary events brought together leading experts from around the world providing insightful discussions at the conference “VIAC at 50: The Legacy and Future of Dispute Resolution in the Heart of Europe”, followed by a memorable gala dinner at the majestic Palais Ferstel on the eve of Global Arbitration Review GAR Live Vienna.

The occasion also marked a new chapter in VIAC’s leadership, with Franz Schwarz taking office as President and Patrizia Netal continuing her tenure as Vice-President.

A heartfelt thank you to the VIAC team for organising such a remarkable event, to everyone who joined the celebrations as well as to the entire VIAC community — here is to the next milestones ahead!
