Dr. Kirstin McGoldrick is a Counsel at KNOETZL, dedicating her law practice to broad areas of both litigation and arbitration. Kirstin’s focus is on complex legal matters, often involving cross-jurisdictional and multi-party disputes. She represents KNOETZL clients in a generous range of cases involving such industries as automotive, construction and engineering, food and beverage, insurance, retail and consumer goods, generally pivoting on corporate and civil law.
Kirstin started her career as an assistant lecturer and researcher at the University of Vienna, during which time she simultaneously completed her own doctoral studies with honors. In addition to her doctorate, Kirstin holds a postgraduate degree (LL.M.) from the University of Vienna.
Prior to joining KNOETZL, Kirstin was an associate in the dispute resolution team of an international law firm and a senior researcher at the Austrian Notarial Institute, a legal research institute of the Austrian Chamber of Notaries. Her work with the Austrian Chamber of Notaries included analysis and delivery of legal opinions on highly complex issues of civil, company and private international law.
Past work highlights of Kirstin include a high-profile ICSID case involving corruption charges, and  a €110 million VIAC arbitration over a joint venture in the soft drinks business. Presently, Kirstin commands a leading role in a major, legally and technically complex engineering case.
Kirstin is admitted to the Austrian bar.
