KNOETZL

Magdalena Steringer is an associate on the litigation team.
Prior to joining KNOETZL, she worked as Student Assistant at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law (Univ.-Prof. Michael-Lysander Fremuth) at the University of Vienna. She specialized in international and national Human Rights Law, in which she achieved advanced experience in applied research while engaged as researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Fundamental and Human Rights. During her clerkship, she supported the development and coordination of the Human Rights Postgraduate Program at the University of Vienna.
Magdalena also has legal experience in environmental law through a traineeship with a large Viennese firm and she completed a six-month traineeship at the European Commission where she was assigned to implement the EU´s Digital Strategy, namely the Data Governance Act and the Data Act at DG Connect.
She holds a master’s degree in law (University of Vienna) and was awarded an excellence scholarship by the Austrian Government to attend the College of Europe, Bruges Campus, where she earned her MA in EU External Relations and Diplomacy Studies.
During her law studies, Magdalena co-founded SHE*talks, a women’s empowerment initiative at the law faculty of the University of Vienna.
