Stefan Dobrijević

Associate

Dr. Stefan Dobrijević is an Associate at KNOETZL, whose practice focuses on international arbitration and corporate and commercial law.

Prior to joining KNOETZL, Stefan served as a Teaching and Research Associate at the Competition Law Department of the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), where he taught courses in commercial and corporate law and alternative dispute resolution. During this time, he completed his doctoral studies on the interaction between international arbitration and EU (competition) law, graduating summa cum laude. He received merit-based scholarships and research awards, and completed a research stay at the Institute for Comparative Law, Conflict of Laws and International Business Law at Heidelberg University (Germany).

Stefan regularly publishes and speaks on international arbitration, private international law and corporate law. His publications include extensive contributions to the leading Austrian commentaries on the Rome I Regulation and the Austrian Stock Corporation Act.

In addition to his academic career, he has gained substantial practical experience in international arbitration at renowned law firms. He is also a trained mediator and has conducted several mediations.

Stefan is an active member of Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners and Young ICCA. He coaches the team of the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) for the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court.
