Jurgita Petkutė is a Partner in the International Arbitration Practice at KNOETZL.

With over fifteen years of experience, Jurgita specializes in international commercial and investment arbitration, acting both as counsel and arbitrator. Her expertise lies in handling complex, cross-border, and high-value disputes, particularly across the CEE, SEE, Nordic and Baltic regions.

Jurgita’s practice covers a broad spectrum of industries, including energy sector—electricity, oil, and gas exploration and supply agreements—construction and engineering disputes under FIDIC and other forms, international sales, transportation and shipping, corporate and post-M&A matters, as well as insurance disputes.

Jurgita is regularly appointed as presiding, sole, or co-arbitrator in disputes governed by domestic laws of various countries, often involving comparative law approach. Her arbitrator mandates included arbitrations under the arbitration rules of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, SCC Arbitration Institute, Vienna International Arbitral Centre, Arbitration Institute of the Finland Chamber of Commerce and Vilnius Court of Commercial Arbitration.

Jurgita’s recent work highlights include representing a client in a €6 billion energy-sector arbitration, presiding over interrelated construction disputes under FIDIC contracts arising from projects of strategic national importance, and acting in a €365 million arbitration concerning a major corporate transaction.

Admitted to the Vienna Bar (as a registered European lawyer) and the Lithuanian Bar, Jurgita holds an LL.M. in International Commercial Arbitration from Stockholm University and a Master of Laws as well as Bachelor of Laws degrees from Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius.
