Violence and Hate – Prevention in Schools

Cyberbullying, hate speech, and digital violence are on the rise and teens are often right at the center of it.

Senior Associate Felix Eggenburg and Legal Intern Shirin Chiara Chegini visited a Viennese high school on behalf of the RAK Wien (Vienna Bar Association) to talk about a topic that couldn’t be more relevant: “Criminal Consequences of Cyberbullying and Digital Violence”.

The session was part of the Vienna Bar Association’s powerful school initiative “Violence and Hate – Prevention in Schools: The Legal Profession Raises Awareness”,which aims at equipping young people with the knowledge they need to understand the risks and legal limits of online behavior, before problems arise. The students didn’t just listen: they engaged, questioned, challenged. Their curiosity and concern made one thing crystal clear: this conversation is urgently needed. Because early education is key to a safer, more respectful digital world.
